Curriculum

All of our curriculums are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and undergo continuous scrutiny and revision in order to ensure that all students are able to achieve these high standards.

Understanding What Your Child Is Learning in School

As educators, parents, and adults that care about the development and success of children we understand the importance of making sure that parents and caregivers of our students have access to district curriculums and information about instructional programs. As a district we are committed to ensuring all parents and caregivers are well informed about what their children are learning in school and to assisting them with supporting their child’s development beyond the school day.

In order to achieve this we have posted our district curriculum on the internet. This allows parents and caregivers to view the alignment of the district curriculums to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and across grade levels.  Through this resource parents and caregivers are also able to easily view what a child is expected to know and be able to do at each grade level and what units of study will take place during the year.  We hope that parents and caregivers will find this resource useful as they support their child’s continued learning.  In order to view the curricula of the Northampton Public Schools please follow the links below.
